Children and Student Ministries
In Children and Student Ministries we aim to partner with parents to make disciples of Jesus of all ages. We also desire to equip parents to fulfill their God-given responsibility to train their children in the “discipline and instruction of the Lord” - Ephesians 6:12.
We encourage parents to bring children of any age into the Sunday worship gathering from 10– 11:20 am. The kids and students of Living Hope Church are a vital part of our church family, and we desire them to worship with us. To aid in their involvement, worship-specific activity sheets are available at the Hospitality cart in the commons.
Early Childhood Discipling
Time: 10–11:20 am (check in @ 9:45)
Location: C-102
In the Early Childhood Discipling class (0-4 years), children are taught from the Bible, discipled in worship, prayer, and Bible memory. They are taught from A Sure Foundation, a curriculum from Truth78 geared toward older toddlers and preschoolers that highlight His Praiseworthy Deeds (Volume 1) and allow children to Set their Hope in God (Volume 2). To resource parents and caregivers to disciple their children in the home each week, they are given a summary of what their child(ren) learned. Please arrive at 9:45 am so you and your child(ren) can get situated before the service begins. A greeter and/or signage will help direct you toward the children’s classroom.
Kids’ Discipling
Time: 8:45–9:45 am (Sept-May)
Location: C-101
We desire to partner with parents to disciple the hearts and minds of elementary-aged students (5y/K-5th grade) at Living Hope. Our leaders will disciple students in the Bible, through prayer, a time of worship, and in Bible memory and then resource parents each week with tools to engage on each lesson.
This year, we will be using three studies in the 2025-2026 ministry year from Truth78.
Fall 2025 – The Righteous Shall Live by Faith (A Study of the 10 Commandments) This study begins by introducing God as the LORD, who calls a people to Himself and sets them free from slavery. Throughout the curriculum, man is shown as unable to keep the law of God, and Jesus is presented as the perfect law keeper and Savior of His people.
Winter 2026 - The Best Good News of All! (A Study on the Gospel) The study presents children with 10 essential, biblical truths that define and communicate the essence, means, and goal of the gospel. Each truth is carefully introduced and explained within the redemptive narrative of Scripture so that children more fully see why the gospel is truly the best good news of all!
Spring 2026 – LORD, Teach Us to Pray (A Study on Prayer) This study instructs us to approach God in prayer with a heart of submission to God’s desires and a trust in His good and right answers. Through prayer, children will learn to know their Heavenly Father better and enjoy fellowship with Him.
Student Discipling
Time: 8:45-9:30 (Sept-May)
Location: C-104
Who: All young men and women of Living Hope Church (middle school-high school age) are welcome to join us as we seek Jesus together. Visitors are welcome!
As an integral part of Living Hope Church, we encourage our young men and women to joyfully treasure Christ, love one another, and make disciples of Jesus. In Student Discipling, faithful men and women teach younger men and women what it looks like to read the Bible, pray, and worship God in all of life. The format of our group includes two main components: Word and community. We want to know and love Jesus by taking the time to see Him in the Word of God. We engage in community with one another by sharing authentically, building trust, and simply having fun together. Our students are working through a series on the redemptive history of God from Genesis to Revelation to impart the rich vision of the gospel.
