God is the supreme gift giver (Rom 8:32), and he calls his people to be extraordinarily generous as well (2 Cor 9:11). Christians contribute to their local church to help those in need (Acts 2:45), support their leaders (Gal 6:6), and promote gospel ministry locally (Rom 12:8) and globally (Phil 4:15).
