Sowing Seeds
Today was a great day at the park! We're trusting that the Lord is working even through the rain. Because of the rain and cold today, we only had about ten kids at the park today, but the Lord was still working. We played a lot of kickball and blob tag and ships across the ocean to engage and bond with all the teenage boys who showed up today. Some of our team members also got a good chance to sit and talk with a girl named Tomacina while the rest of the team played games. It was very encouraging to see all the kids sitting still and listening during our Bible lesson and even singing along to our verse song. Overall, today's teaching was very successful.
Our bible lesson was about being a disciple of Jesus, how to be a disciple, and why we should want to be a disciple. We're praying for more kids to come tomorrow, but we're very grateful for the interactions we got to have today. Some of our team had a very fruitful conversation with this mainly Spanish-speaking dad and son. The dad has a Spanish bible that he reads, but we got to send the five-year old boy, Benji, home with a kid's Bible and gospel story picture book. Please continue to join us in prayer for all of these kids so that they will come to love the Lord and trust him with their lives.
