Today was a beautiful day in Anchorage. We were so grateful for the exquisite sunshine that God graced us with today. We started off the morning at Estuary Park for chapel. We had a short hike and overlook where belugas come. Unfortunately we did not see any but the views were spectacular. We returned for lunch and then headed off to the park. Today’s time at the park was filled with games, coloring, making bracelets, lots of mouse-on-the-ground, and sharing the gospel.

Sydney and I (Becky) taught a lesson on Peter’s denial of Christ from Matthew 26. Our focus was on forgiveness and teaching the kids how to forgive and forgive again. We then made a s’mores, with a little note that reminded the kids to “forgive and then forgive, s’more”.

Marshall had two gospel conversations with some gentlemen that were in the park. The first young man was a high schooler that had recently been kicked out of his house. Please pray that the gospel would penetrate the heart of this young man to repent and believe in Christ. We are praying that he will return tomorrow as Marshall offered to buy him socks. Another man was not as warm to the gospel but Marshall was able to share with him and we are praying for his return tomorrow as well to discuss more.

I had precious time with a sweet girl named Sophia today asking her what she thought about God. She knew that he loved her and as I asked her questions about sin and faith, she was easily distracted. I am praying for more opportunities this week but also that the Lord would put people in her life to share the truth.

After dinner tonight, we went to a lovely overlook as a team over the Cook Inlet, got some laundry done and went for ice cream. So grateful for this lovely day.
