Hope for the Future - Heat Advisory

This week has gone by so fast! While it was our last day at Fairview Park, we were encouraged by a few of the teenagers who told us they had come to the park because they heard at the rec center that the people at the park were super cool and awesome! That is exactly what we wanted to hear and exactly what we were aiming for!

Today’s lesson was about how each person has individual talents and interests. I (Elijah) tried to emphasize the importance of how God wants to use each of our unique experiences to build his kingdom, as well as the fact that the people in the Bible who did, were normal people that God used for mighty things!

After the lesson we got a few group photos with all the kids present and closed with some more snacks, a water balloon fight, and another raffle! Overall, it went well for the last day, but it was sad for both us and the kids to say goodbye for the summer. We ended up giving a couple kids our lanyards, and we are hoping they will be encouraged by seeing those after we are gone! Thank you everyone for all the prayer and support!

Below is a heat advisory that you will only see in Alaska. High 69!
