Thursday on Friday
Here is Thursday’s blog post! So sorry it’s late!
Thursday was a great day at GlenCarren park. We keep seeing a lot of the same kids coming back every afternoon, but we are always blessed by new faces as well. Thursday was especially good for new kids because it was our park party day. We had a lot of kids show up to participate in the games and to hear a short gospel message by Rachael.
The lesson for Thursday was on Peter’s vision in Acts 10:9-43 and the gentiles being brought into the church. We were able to share with the kids about the fact that Jesus accepts everyone regardless of their background. In him, all people can be made clean.
Some highlights from the day include dirty sodas, a surprisingly popular fishing game, and pickles on a stick. We also had a couple of girls borrow the Peter and Jesus costumes, and two of the kids brought their dogs (a chihuahua and a pug!) for us to meet.
In other good news, a local church sent some members (including a youth pastor) to the park party to connect with the kids, and a missionary couple stopped by as well. We are praying that God will use these blessings to connect the children to their local churches and to the family of Christ.
Thank you for all of your prayers and support!
